Can I use hair color remover to highlight my hair?

Okay I dyed my hair medium brown a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to way to dark. I wanted to put some highlights in it myself. I have dyed my own hair and highlighted it too lots of times before. I am going to pull it through the cap and highlight some of it. What I was wondering if I could use color remover such as Color Oops to lighten the strands. I am asking cause I have an extra bottle from the last time I used it . When I used the color remover on my hair before it turned my hair a light reddish blonde color which I kind of liked. So can I just use the color remover to lighten the strands, or do I have to put another color on top of it?

If you're happy with the strawberry tone to your highlights, you can absolutely do it that way.

If they come out too brassy, you can throw a semi-permanent blonde (look for an "ash" tone) over your whole head (it will cool down the highlights without affecting the brown base color).

i know how u feel!!! i coloured my hair before the school term strated and it went blacky brown!! it was supposed to be chocolate brown!!! used nordic blonde duo-colour highlights in blonde and forget about the colour remover it will just damage ur hair!!

Umm funny you asked because I just colord my hair tonight.. have someone help you and take aluminum foil and tear it into small strips, take only the parts you want too be lighter and use a paint brush tooo brush on the color too the strands you want .. while you hold the foil behind the piece your coloring... then roll up the foil and leave it on your head for 20 mins.. do this too the top strands all around your head.. that way it wont get on your other hair but it will lighten it up.. dont use the caps... they never look right or get right down the too root - G*Luck
