Once you color your hair how long do you wait before you wash it again?

I just got my hair colored yesterday and right before I went to take a shower my mom says that I can't wash my hair yet. She says I have to wait 2 days before washing it again. (Ew!) I've gotten my hair colored before and my stylist never said anything about waiting a couple days before washing it again.

Will washing your newly colored hair ruin the color?

Once you color your hair how long do you wait before you wash it again?

I would wait 24 hours anyway.

Which temporary hair color would work better for me?

im planning to put pink streaks in my hair. i have black hair. should i use hair mascara or colored hair spray? what are the pros and cons of both? which one would show up better on black hair? and i want the color to wash out after i wash my hair. thanks

Which temporary hair color would work better for me?

Pretty much everything is hard to see with black hair. Sorry. I've always had really dark hair and nothing temporary ever worked. You might be able to coat better with the mascara. The thicker the coat, the better chance you'll have of seeing anything. If you have already purchased both types try both on small strands of hair, you might surprise yourself with the results.

Which eye colors and hair colors go well with tan skin?

I'm Indian, and my skin is tan, I have black hair and dark eyes - they're practically black but I know there's no such thing, so that just means they're really brown - and I'm interested in changing my look for the new year. I can't really describe myself more beyond that, I guess, but if it helps, my friends have told me that clothes with jewel tones look best on me if that gives you a better idea of my skin color. I'm interested in dying my hair and getting color contacts, and I'd like to know which colors would look good on me, and which eye and hair color would correspond/complement each other against my skin tone. Thanks.

Which eye colors and hair colors go well with tan skin?

Try hazel coloured contacts, they would look good with your skin colour, and mabey chestnut/honey blond hair. That's if your thinking of really changing your look. I don't see what's wrong with dark hair and eyes though.. You should accept the way you look and focus on being happy with the way you look, rather than changing it. But I guess it's up to you.

I've also noticed that lime green and lemon yellow really compliments tanned skin types. You would really stand out and make your skin look gorge!!

Good luck.

Which eye colors and hair colors go well with tan skin?

I have an indian friend and she dies her hair DARK maroon. It looks so pretty on her! I would also try to get colored contacts, a color that works well is called HONEY by acuvue. Its like a brown looking color, more on the yellow side. They should give u a trial pair to test them out. I love my friend and I think indian women are so beautiful! Embrace your heritage! Maybe just go for a cute hair cut, lots of long layers maybe! GOOD LUCK!!!

Which eye colors and hair colors go well with tan skin?

How do I color my hair using a protein filler??

Hi,

I just bought Wella color charm hair color and protein filler. I had blonde hair with highlights and colored it a red color and after about a week about the first 2 or 3 inches from my scalp is still a redish color but the rest is now brown. I read that using a protein filler first will make it so the color is even throught. The directions on the filler say to leave it on for 20 minutes than rinse out. Do I have to let my hair dry before I color it or do I do it when it is still wet?? Thanks for the help.

Teri

How do I color my hair using a protein filler??

I prefer to let my hair dry first because the color seems to last longer.

How do I color my hair using a protein filler??

FIRST....... WASH YOUR HAIR REALLY GOOD WITH A CLARIFYING SHAMPOO AND CON. THEN PUT THE FILLER IN YOUR HAIR LEAVE IT IN FOR 15-20 MINUTES.......... RINSE THEN GET OUT OF THE SHOWER BLOT WITH A TOWEL BUT DON'T RUB AND LET DRY............ THEN YOU CAN CONTINUE TO DYE HAIR LIKE USUAL.

Does my new hair color look good with my skin color?

I asked this question earlier under an account I use more than this one but pictures weren't showing.

I'm fair but not too light and for another month anniversary my husband asked me what I wanted and I said a new look so he took me to the salon and I told him to help me pick the color. He chose a light auburn with an orange-red tint to it (more orange than red) that looks very light brown or dark blonde with auburn tones to it. Anyway, I don't know if the color is too light for me (They put the Sunberry color 72R but my hair looks more like the 31R Sunny auburn using no bleach)

Do you think I'm too dark to have my new hair color. My hubby likes it but I'm trying to adjust. The good thing is that I can always go darker in the future versus trying to go lighter with dark hair. Thanks

Btw. My hair was a light reddish brown before the change.

Does my new hair color look good with my skin color?

looks good and ur very pretty! lol

Does my new hair color look good with my skin color?

i think it looks really nice and natural,

i cant even imagine the red

(:

Does my new hair color look good with my skin color?

You look like more of a cool toned skin tone than a warm toned...could just be the lighting.. the orange/red may wind up clashing with your skin tone. Light hair on dark skin can be done though. Get used to it and see if you like it : )

Does my new hair color look good with my skin color?

Hard for me to imagine what you looked like before, but you look pretty in that picture, and your hair too.

Does my new hair color look good with my skin color?

Yes!!!! You are very pretty! It looks great! go you!

NEED UR OPINION ON HAIR & COLOR! What should I do?!?

Back in October of 07 I had my hair colored brown w/ gold highlights(pic tak. But because it was lighter it started looking raggedy, and I didn't like contrast of my hair and my eyebrows.

http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/2707/...

( A year before that I had highlights done throughout my hair as well) In December '07 so I decided to go black. (Revlon ColorSilk #10).

http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/5859/...

lol my hair is wild.

Well, now the highlights I had done previously are starting to show. And I have new growth. I've been using John Frieda's Brunette luminous color glaze so the color wouldn't get too brassy or weird.

So my question is SHOULD I dye it? Or give my hair a rest? I have this itch to dye it, but I'm apprehensive. Colors I was considering are Feria's Expresso or Chocolate. What color would u suggest?

NEED UR OPINION ON HAIR %26amp; COLOR! What should I do?!?

NEED UR OPINION ON HAIR %26amp; COLOR! What should I do?!?

Dye it a deep chocolate brown with honey-yellow highlights. Then cut it/get extensions to your shoulders and dye the tips honey-yellow again. It would look really cute with your structure.

NEED UR OPINION ON HAIR %26amp; COLOR! What should I do?!?

ew don't use the color glaze crap. i don thtink that's good for your hair at all. it smells like ammonia!

use products with silicone and not alcohol. they will make your hair calm and shiny. :D

shining gloss from kenra and super skinny serum from paul mitchel are both fabulous. there are other similar products just make sure you read the ingredients.

there are similar products like shine serum from garnier fructis but it has alcohol and will dry your hair out.

couldn't get to see your pic's so can't advise sorry....

NEED UR OPINION ON HAIR %26amp; COLOR! What should I do?!?

Buy any shade of L'oreal paris superior preferance hair dye in any shade of brown. There dye does'nt fade as fast.

I naturally have medium blonde hair but dye my hair and brows light ash brown. ALSO IF YOU WANT YOUR HAIR SHINY AND HEALTHY LOOKING GET SOME VASALINE OR PETROLEUM JELLY PUT THE SIZE OF A PENNY IN YOUR HAND AND RUB IT IN YOUR HANDS THEN HAIR AND BRUSH IT, THEN BLOW DRY FOR 30 SECONDS email me if you like :) jason0212002@yahoo.com

Hair color natrually?

My boyfriend told me he like brunetes ( i am not sure how to spell it) I am a strawberry blonde. But he says he doesnt like dyed hair. He likes it natrual.. Is there a way natrually to turn your hair/brows color darker? Without freaking him out or my parents??? i am 19 bit still they are really strict... THANKS!! And no i am not turing my hair color just for him i want to do it for myself also.. Even if i wasnt with him i would still like my hair darker!!

Hair color natrually?

Well, I can't think of a way to get it darker without dying it. But instead of dying it all completely, you could get lowlights, which is the opposite of highlights. So you could make parts of your hair slightly darker. Still I think it's not very nice for him to make such a comment when he obviously knows that you do not have brown hair. But if you truly want to do it for yourself, lowlights might be a nice inbetween option. It is still dying your hair, but just a lesser quantity of it.

Hair color natrually?

if he honestly liked you, he would never say that to you, and you shouldn't change just to meet someone elses standards

Hair color natrually?

UM no there is no way i am a hair artist and the only way to do that is if you bye it sorry hun.

Hair color natrually?

You could try henna, it's as natural as hair coloring can get.

Hair color natrually?

if he likes u he'll like the way u are dont worry about ur hair color

Possible colors for dying hair.?

I'm not going to dye my hair any time soon, I was just thinking what color would look nice on me. My face shape and bone structure in all is a mix of Keira Knightley and Shakira, with hair like Shakiras, only it's a tamed curly and a dark brown with blck and orangish colors randomly in it [natural]. My facial skin is Keiras color and the rest of my body is more like Shakiras. I have dark brown eyes. What hair color would look good on me? I like orangish/reddish colors

Hair Color Alt.s to Pile Up?

Some hair won't just "Pile Up" as suggested be done by Hair Color products. Are there any Alternatives to pileing hair on people's heads while it's being colored? [After the color is added and before the conditioner is added. That wait for 15-60 minutes.]

Hair Color Alt.s to Pile Up?

well put on a shower cap or pin it up. I have that problem with mine. And when i use teh shower cap, it works fine b/c my color always comes out even.

Hair Color Alt.s to Pile Up?

dont worry about pileing the hair on top of your head. just leave it down, but make sure that you put an old towel around your shoulders so that the hair color wont ruin your clothes. try to keep your hair away from your face too.

What hair color should i go for?

my natural eye color is hazel and i sometimes wear blue contact lenses. i have light skin and wanting to change my hair color - my hair is now a reddish brown color. should i dye my hair to a deep brown (close to black) or go for a lighter color?

What hair color should i go for?

I would say lighter color for the summer, and especially if you have light skin. If you want some dark though, you could try what I did... I have light skin too, so I wouldn't recommend going all real dark. I dyed my hair a light brown, and got dark chocolate brown highlights. I got a lot of compliments on it. Plus when it grows out, your roots probably won't show as much as it would if you did a real light or real dark color all over. Good luck!

What hair color should i go for?

lighter color

What hair color should i go for?

How about a chestnut brown with caramel highlights?

~SP

What hair color should i go for?

id go for a lighter color to go with your skin tone.

What hair color should i go for?

With Hazel eyes it would look more natural to go with a lighter color like a honey blonde. But it would also be dramatic and stunning to see lighter eyes with a dark brunette. You should think about if you are comfortable with a color that would really be permanent. The dark brunette probably wont come out, unless you get it stripped at a salon, whick can damage your hair or even make it start breaking off. The blonde would be a less permanent option. Plus, blonde is great for summer.

What hair color should i go for?

Coming from a hairstylist/colorist "pro" point of view;

Natural "virgin" hair is hair that has never been chemically processed. Sometimes this is resistant to color.

Artificial pigments are found in hair that has been previously colored by dyes. Sometimes this takes color well, sometimes not.

But it can be done with time and the right products and techniques, as well as patience.

It depends on what your hair type is, and if it has been colored before.

If your current color is "dyed" to Red-Brown, it will be easier to make it darker than lighter, as red pigments are easy to fade by shampooing(usually gone within weeks) but not very simple to bleach out or use a color-remover. It may take more than one process to remove the pigments. Which can damage GREATLY if you try to attempt this at home. Trust me, :) you don't want a "chemical cut"!!

If you want to lighten it, hair bleach or color remover, such as the powders your colorist would mix with a generated developer(I like Clairol and Wella brands in the professional series) would be ideal to use. Sometimes it takes more than one process to get all the red and brown out of the hair.. Have your colorist remove the pigments to the desired stage and then tone if necessary. Condition with a deep treatment that restores moisture and protein levels, to preserve the hair from damage. Refresh the new tone every couple weeks with a toning glaze, to prevent orangy or off-tones from ruining your new shade, and to keep hair from dulling tones.

If you would like to darken it, I suggest Demi-permanent glaze, such as Redken Shades EQ or Paul Mitchell PM Shines. Red tones in hair do absorb more pigment--getting you closer to a brunette shade-- since you're already in that (halfway) stage between blonde and dark brown. They will work in one process to stain and gloss the hair with no demarcation or "roots". Again, this may fade a bit so refresh it every few weeks with a glaze to keep the color.

I hope my rambling helps--

Hair color advice needed!?

Here's the thing...I'm 33 yrs. old. I have pale/ivory skin, hazel eyes and reddish brown hair (natural color) that tends to turn orange(ish). lol I used to dye my hair med to dark auburn. But now that I'm older, I wonder if I shouldn't stick to more of a chestnut brown.

My question is....What color hair would look good on a 33 yr. old women with ivory skin and hazel eyes?

*My hair is long with long layers...no bangs!

Hair color advice needed!?

a medium reddish brown. reddish brown is in for the fall, and will continue for the next year. the red will compliment your hazel eyes, but the medium brown won't look to harsh against your pale skin.

Hair color advice needed!?

A nice auburn color.

Hair color advice needed!?

cut ur hair like posh

Hair color advice needed!?

ummm......... u r rght chesnut soundds good! and u sound like you atre really pretty haha!

Hair color advice needed!?

I have a question for you first? Are you trying to get rid of the 'orange' in your hair? I am your age, with Ivory skin and hazel eyes, too! I lighten my hair...not too light, - my original color is a med. brown but It does not look good with my complexion. I lighten it to a caramel - honey blonde - sometimes even a bit lighter! The secret to never having red tones or brassiness? Use a light ash blonde color! The "ash" neutralizes any reds...and some of the colours are gorgeous. You sound like you have my coloring, so take my advice - Go a bit lighter! 33 Is definitely not old - My sister is 43 and still looks like my age!! Just opened her own business, too. I've been doing my own hair for about 17 years...You sound like you're confident so why not express it?

Happy New Years!!

What hair color do you think?

I have white skin color and i want to dye my hair and i am confused i dont know what hair color... What hair color you think looks better with a white skin color girl and i have green eyes.

What hair color do you think?

It also depends on what hair colour you originally have.

I personally think pale skin goes with darker hair, so I would suggest black or dark brown. Green eyes might clash with some other dark colours like dark red and dark purple though.

What hair color do you think?

I think dark red looks good, if you've got the style for it... Kind of like Agent Scully, hehe... :)

..It'll go well with your green eyes, too, I think...

What hair color do you think?

Dark brown or black. Your white skin will contranst nicly with your hair and the green eyes makes it even more perfect. Don't go too blond if you have to go blond. Pale skin with light hair will make you look like an albino.

What hair color do you think?

a nice brunett color with blond highlights

What hair color do you think?

first, green eyes, with skin, you must be beautiful girl, I'm sure that any colour will set you well.

My personal preferences are a medium red, not to dark not to light.

Send my a photo when you dye, I'm curious.

regards

George

What hair color do you think?

I have blue eyes %26amp; medium brown hair %26amp; the medium brown is dark enough to make my eyes "pop", but, not so dark that I look washed out. It also looks even better in the summer when I have a nice tan. I'm sure that green eyes will have the same effect, as they are also a light shade that will "pop" with having a darker shade. If you want to try something different, try a reddish-brown shade. Just don't go to a dark brown or black. You will look like you are either washed out or trying to look gothic ( b/c you have light skin)

What hair color do you think?

umm try auburn

What hair color do you think?

strawberry blonde...=]

Burgundy/red hair to lighter red color? How to do...?

I have colored burgundy hair. It's a mix of a burgundy pemanent hair color and semi permanent color that was put on top of the faded permanent color. I would like to go to a firey red color. Should I use a permanent color? I have considered using a lighter semi/demi permanent color to "brighten" up the color, since it's looking a bit drab(just got my hair cut yesterday. Any tips/tricks/suggestions are appreciated!

Burgundy/red hair to lighter red color? How to do...?

You cannot remove haircolor or lighten it with haircolor. This is a corrective color that needs to be done professionally if you want decent results.

Burgundy/red hair to lighter red color? How to do...?

Red is the hardest color to keep looking vibrant and healthy. I would hit a salon if you want it lighter, but if you just want it more vibrant you can do that on your own (I would go with a permanent, but you need to treat it like a semi-permanent formula...it will need to be redone a lot more often than others)

I need help choosing a new hair color,I'm having trouble deciding Please Help!!!?

I have blue eyes, fair skin, pink undertones, natural hair color is dark blonde. I had my hair colored on Nov 3 the stylist put on a dark blonde all over and my top came out to a golden/ red dark blonde and does not match my skin. I've already had a hair consultation and have agreed to have my hair stripped and apply a color of choice.

My hair is still strong, healthy and in shiny condition. I'm asking for suggestions on either beige blonde or natural blonde hair colors. I do not want red, orange green or yellow/golden blonde hair I'm having a hard time deciding.

I want to stay at least 1 or 2 shades lighter then dark blonde. If you have other suggestions on another color please let me know. Thank you for your help. Attached is a photo of myself so you can get an idea and a few samples of blonde hair colors.http://s170.photobucket.com/albums/u249/...

I need help choosing a new hair color,I'm having trouble deciding Please Help!!!?

DO NOT STRIP THE COLOR. your hair will never be the same if you do that. instead use a toner color on top of what you already have, unfortunately i could not see your picture because my computer here at work doesnt have flash installed, and it said its required to view the pic. so i cant see what color you have but im going by the description you gave which is pretty good. i suggest you use a 7v level color with 10volume developer only leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse it out, dont shampoo it out.... you will only use this as a toner, not as a new color. this will take the gold out of your hair and keep it a dark blonde,(go to a beauty supply store for your color, they'll know what im talking about.). dont ever let ANYONE talk you into stripping the color out of your hair, im a hairstylist and i use that only as a last resort.....

Hair color ??? for my baby?

Okay so im going to be having a baby in 3 months. and i was wondering whose hair color would he have..

i have dark broen hair and my husband had blonde/ dirty blonde hair.

also if you find a website that has a hair color chart please let me know

Hair color ??? for my baby?

It could be any color under the sun. And it will change rapidly there are no charts for this. Its just a mix of your DNA.

Hair color ??? for my baby?

Baby's hair can be any color from husbands ancestors or your ancestors but I am betting on brown.

Hair color ??? for my baby?

I think that your baby's hair is going to start out lighter and eventually become brown.

Hair color ??? for my baby?

the dark color is predominant, but that's how my parents hair colors are and my is like a goldenish brown, and i was born a redhead ,and

-------l-----B-----l----b

-------l------------l--------

B-----l-----BB---l----Bb

-------l-------------l----------

B-----l-----BB---l----Bb

if you can envision this as a table, i took a class that had a little about genetics, the BB stands for your dark brown, and his is bb, you have about 25% chance for it to be your color, 25% chance his, and 50% of it being somewhere in between, but there are a lot of other factors involved, i know someone who had dark hair, a blonde kid and a red-headed kid

Hair color ??? for my baby?

well it depends on your family history also but just by the info you gave me I can guess your baby is going to have dark brow hair because the darker hair jean is a more dominate jean.

Hair color ??? for my baby?

I tried making a punnet square for your situation. there are two possible punnet squares

1.

mother ------- BB

father---------bb

B B

b Bb Bb

b Bb Bb

100% brown

2.

mother ----------BB

father------------Bb

B B

B BB BB

b Bb Bb

100% brown

dont rely on these, I just learned this in science and Im not very good at science

I hope I gave you and Idea!

Hair color ??? for my baby?

it depends on the dominant gene.

Hair color help!!!!?

I want to get a medium reddish brown hair color ( but more red than brown) but I want blond streaks in it. Can anyone tell me the best color that would go with it pleassseee?? Thanks a lottt!!! Ohh also any suggestions on the cutest medium reddish brown hair colors would be great too because I havent really decided on any specific color. Thanks agaain!

Hair color help!!!!?

It depends on your skin tone. If you have pale skin, or slightly tan skin it'd look beautiful. If you have an olive complexion or darker, don't do red. Red/Brown wouldn't look right. And either way Red/Brown and blond is a DEFINITE no-no. The colors contrasting with each other is so noticeable in a bad way. People will think you screwed up when you were trying to die your hair. It just looks really bad.

Ash Blonde hair color get rid of orange right?

okay so a few weeks ago i dyed my hair blonde and it was an orange color so i used ASH blonde hair color to get rid of the orange tint to it. it did work pretty well but my hair is bascially brown again and i wanted it blonde. i think maybe it was becasue i used ash blonde "cooler" which was a darker ash blonde. and it said 8A if that matters. but i was wondering if i used a "light ash blonde" hair color that it would still get rid on the orange tint as before and lighten my hair just a little bit too? whatever you think will work please helP! thank you!

Ash Blonde hair color get rid of orange right?

the amount of money you,ll spend trying to get your hair right you might as well go to a salon and get it done properly

Ash Blonde hair color get rid of orange right?

you should have used a light ash blonde in the first place. if the tint was just a semi permanent, you can scrub it out with cleansing shampoo to try and get it orange again and then put on the light ash. i did the same with my hair not long ago and coloured it with an ultra light blonde which lifted it again. i use aveda blue malva shampoo and conditioner to undercut all the orange and yellow i got and it worked a treat! good luck xxx

Ash Blonde hair color get rid of orange right?

If you are going several shades lighter you may have to go to a salon. Haircolor boxes usually aren't strong enough to strip a lot of color without the orange look. But yes ASH is cooler and shouldn't pull reds. You can also use a toner to add more "blue" cool tones . I reccomend going to a beauty school. They are cheaper than the salons, and you should get the same quality results. But definitely give your hair a rest, or the dye won't hold. I found out by experience.

Ash Blonde hair color get rid of orange right?

the best thing to do is nip into your local hairdressers for some advice i know too much bleaching isnt good for your hair and to put another colour on your not sure about may cause more damage!

Ash Blonde hair color get rid of orange right?

You would be best to go to a salon for a skin test and consultation.

Ash Blonde hair color get rid of orange right?

Just be careful wish ash it could send your hair green! If it does go green put tomatoe ketchup in the hair as the red colouring in it should get rid of the green. This is totally honest not trying to make you look daft! x

Colored Hair.?

Hi,

i have just colored my hair and now i am confused that should i use the hair oil after i have washed my hair.

And how would that be harmful/useful if i apply oil after hair color.

Colored Hair.?

Follow the directions recommendations on when to wash your hair. After the first wash following haircoloring, then you should be okay to apply oil--jojoba is the best.

For those uneducated, hair oil is a great way to protect your hair by sealing in moisture and protecting the cuticle. It's use is not limited to a specific race or gender.

Colored Hair.?

Do you mean the hot-oil treatment? If not, I don't know what other oil you would be talking about. However, it is okay to use any kind of oil 2-3 days after you just color your hair. So much damage and chemicals can really harm you hair.

Colored Hair.?

What oil are you talking about? If there was a little packet in the box, that was supposed to be mixed in with the color, for aroma (Garnier makes one.) But even if you don閳ユ獩 use it, its ok- the oil will not affect how your color turns out.

Colored Hair.?

???????

Colored Hair.?

what OIL? did u buy this from the store...color out of a box or prof. prod. from beauty supply?

Colored Hair.?

im not sure what you used for color was it permant is the oil a conditioner you can use anything but a stripper after color.

Colored Hair.?

it will cause a problem you might want to consider a new product, however there are color treated products for styling. Adding color in to hair is harder then bleaching it, odd enough, the color molicules in the hair dye cling on to hair, so stay away from sulfate in shampoos it will strip your hair color fast and make it look gray-ed. Get some color treated safe stlying products also without sulfate too, not just the shampoo but the styling products, just look at the back or if you go to a salon ask for help looking for something to get the style you like

Colored Hair.?

Hi, I think you can use in oil a few days after haircoloring, actually I read this really good article about hot oil hair treatment, you'll find more useful information there I'm sure:

How to Pick the Right Hair Color based on your hair color and undertone to avoid color failure

http://geebal.blogspot.com/2007/10/how-t...

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

Is it normal for hair color to change, my hair was all brown and now has blonde and red strands. My mom has red and blonde hair and my dad has dark brown hair. Is hair color supposed to change ? If it matters in mixed black white %26amp; japanese

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

some people's hair have natural highlights in it so dont get worried thats normal

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

Well if it changed naturally, then it was normall for you.

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

of course! as you get older or if you get more or less sunlight your hair will change color and texture its completely normal especially if your hair starts to look more like your parents

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

Yes! When I was younger, my hair was extremely blonde! But now it's pretty much brown. As you get older, your hair naturally changes! So don't worry!

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

Hair color change is normal. Were you out in the sun or did you go swimming? That could have lightened it.

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

yes, hair color does change. I was born with carrot top hair and matching eyebrows. As I got older it changed to a brown color. my dad had dark blonde and my mom had black hair. where the red from then? My heritage I guess. I used to have somewhat wavy hair until I cut it extra short and it grew back very curly and very dry. Maybe the climate, smog, constant hair dying had something to do with the dry hair, but the color and texture??? well, my mom has curly hair and my dad has straight hair. I don't know the specifics of why, but yes it does change color and texture as time goes on. I'm sure there are many others like us who'v undergone this change.

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

everyones hair changes on an average of every 7 years, give or take a few. hormones play a BIG role in your hair, skin, and nails.

pregnant women sometimes lose their hair after giving birth.

blonde baby's usually dont end up blonde in their adult years.

and now that you're 18, you probably had hormonal changes in your teen-age years, as you hit puberty, which would most definetly cause your hair to change color and texture.

it's totally normal.

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

Sure it does. Im full blooded African - from Africa. As a baby I was born with blonde hair and green eyes. Exotic aint it? lol. Both of my parents are brown skinned africans with dark brown hair. It was my great grandfather who was a Greek who had blonde hair and green eyes and his name was Adelphos. Well as I got older my hair got browner and browner until it became pure dark brown but my eyes are still a little greenish.

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

It's normal for some people. My brother was born with bright red hair, and his hair turned blonde. It might change again to brown because my dad had blonde hair that turned to brown.

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

Your hair has natural highlights that can be lightened by the sun. Have you been out in the sun more often?

Also, the texture can change because of a change in shampoo/conditioner. Have you tried a new brand lately? or have you changed your diet? that can also affect hair growth.

Hair does change as we get older. Look at your mom and/or dad. 9 times out of 10 they don't have the same kind of hair they had in their 20s. Don't worry. Change in hair/ nails as we age is a totally natural thing.

Is hair hair color supposed to change ?

Yes your hair changes as you age. Thickness, color, texture all changes with age. Sometimes it's hereditary sometimes it's environment. Buy environment I mean exposure to sun, pollutants etc. Also if certain hair colors textures and such are in your family gene pool then your hair will reflect that. You could have your great grandmother's hair and not even know it.Health also plays into changes in your hair. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, but if it really bothers you talk to a hair professional. If it's something to be concerned about they will advise you as what to do.

Hair color ?!?

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h...

If you scroll down from this link you will see the color golden honey blonde, If my hair is just a TAD darker than that color, and I went to Florida and lemonjuiced my hair everyday for atleast 2 hours for 1 week doyou think my hair could get to the color of # 22 on the chart, light pale blonde?!? Thanks for the help : ) !!!!

Hair color ?!?

I'm sure it could! :)

go for it! It would look so pretty. x

Hair color ?!?

Maybe but doubtful. It probably wouldn't turn out even. Why don't you let a pro do it when you come back from Fla.with a quality product. If you are only lightening it a shade or two it will be gentler on your hair and skin than lemon juice.

Hair color ideas...and hair style ideass plzzz....?

okay i am gettin higlights or probably a rinse color this januaray... i need some help on what colors would look good on me

i am black but my skin color is kind of a caramel color i guess which means im not dark

my hair is brown and up to my shoulders.....

Hair color ideas...and hair style ideass plzzz....?

Try some light brown highlights, Lighter colors always looks gorgeous on darker skin!! Like honey, copper etc.

If you are getting a rinse, maybe try something that has a hint of color in it, maybe a soft ammount of dark brown or light browns,

You have to decide wether to go darker or lighter,

I don't recommend blues, reds, purples or blacks as they are too overpowering on many people and that look is not very " in " anymore. I especially don't recommend black as if it is not natural, it doesn't turn out too well, and you will never fully get the color out!

Your lucky to have caramel skin, So i do really think light browns, dark blondes, etc will compliment your tone!

Flip through some hair magazines and find what you like :) You will be suprised what there is out there.

Hair color ideas...and hair style ideass plzzz....?

Well, I have been coloring my hair for the past 7 years now. I would say that maybe keep the current hair color you have and just have blonde highlights put in it would be much easier to take care of because if you start coloring it too much you have to worry about breakage etc and your hair doesn't really sound like it is that long to begin with.

Hair color ideas...and hair style ideass plzzz....?

The grocery store has kits for highlights about $10.00 and that way you can try to see what color highlights look good on you.

You can try highlights just around your face to start...and if you don't like the color, in about a month, try a different one.

When you get it professionally done, you get another person's opinion of how you should look.

I've done (used to be called frosting), and now I used the permanent 10 minute coloring, from the grocery and drug stores!

Which hair color will suit me ??

and should i color the hall of my hair or not??

Which hair color will suit me ??

In the country I live, most ladies highlight their hair i.e. have two tones colour. e.g. one would dye brown red with few shades of light brown, or blond among the hair. It makes the colour of the hair very vibrant n interesting.

Which hair color will suit me ??

I think black is the best

Which hair color will suit me ??

Try a color you have admired on others and if you dont like it . then try another color.

Hair & skin color?

My natural hair color is a dull dark brown; it makes me look tired and sickly. I recently colored my hair a - warm dark brown -, and I look good in it! The golden highlights are what I believe work with my skin tone.

I want to know, if I look good in - warm - hair colors should I wear - warm - foundations, powders %26amp; so on?

What I don閳ユ獩 exactly understand here is people that I know are telling me that I am a - cool - or - neutral - for make-up, but I don閳ユ獩 believe that I have looked better in anything else than what my hair color is right now. I think I am a -warm-. Please help. -_-

Hair %26amp; skin color?

I tired that a few years ago when I was 13 and I loved it. I am also a natural brunnette with dark brown chocolate hair. However, when I look in the mirror now, I no longer dislike myself. I have fallen in love with the idea of being a brunette. If you want to know what you will look like with certain makeups on, I strongly recommend the following web site, it lets you choose a model that looks like you, and then it lets you put make up on her. Unlike some software programs, you don't have to worry about tracing the lipstick on or any of that, it is very easy to use and all you have to do is choose the makeup that you want to see her in and it will show you what you will look like. The web site is: www.marykay.com

Hair %26amp; skin color?

well if you think you look good in warm then you probably do. You didn't include a picture so I wouldn't know.

Hair %26amp; skin color?

The way to go with any make-up product is to find one that matches your skin as perfectly as possible. It's impossible to say whether that will be a "cool" or "warm" tone. Make-up is meant to cover up blemishes and give your skin a more even appearance. You don't want to use it to add color (foundations and powders at least), or to change your color.

My suggestion is to go to a department store make-up counter (I suggest Clinique or Merle Norman for foundations and powders) and have them do a consultation. They will usually do it for free, and they are professionaly trained to know what will work with what you've got. Also... Their products maye be more expensive, but with foundations especially, you should spare no expence. A good foundation is the most important aspect of your make-up application. Most other products you can go with the cheap stuff, but this is key. :)

Hair %26amp; skin color?

Well, wear warm colored lip color, bronze and that sorta stuff eyeshadow and warm, earthy tones. Well, just wear yellow or POSSIBLY orange toned foundation and powder, just so you dont look fake. but yes, warm colors are for you!!!!

Hair color problem! Help pls!!?!?

Ok, I used to have golden brown hair with blondy brown highlights which had terrible regrowth, so i went to the hairdressers and simply asked for my natural color to be put on.. instead they gave me a VERY dark brown- pretty much black color... so i went and bought two boxes of blonde dye, which didnt help at all... and i have now arranged a appointment with a very good hairdressing salon... Do you think it is ok to have dyed my hair 3 times in 2 days??? and also Do you know how they will make my hair light brown again? will they have to bleach it and then color it?? any information will help

Thanks in advance

Hair color problem! Help pls!!?!?

it was really bad idea to dye your hair 3 times in 2 days. if your hair was dark at the time..and freshly dyed it isnt going to work. and of course you found out the hard way about that. dont do it again, i advise. because its impossible to dye your hair any color if you just dyed your hair in less then a month. they could possibly be able to dye your hair..i dont know ive always dyed my hair myself..and i do think they will have to bleach your hair then dye it. im sorry that had happen to you. read the box next time it tells you not to color your hair if you just colored it a month ago. im not being rude..just helping :)

Hair color problem! Help pls!!?!?

Err... why where you putting blonde on almost black? That's not gonna show up. It's like trying to color with a white marker on black paper. I really don't think it's a good idea to get your hair chemically processed so soon after chemically processing ALOT within recent history. I would wait at LEAST two weeks. This is especially because they will most likely strip your hair of the color and bleach it to get it lighter. And if you're still not satisfied with the bleach results, they'll color it. Your hair could end up getting upset and leaving you [you'll loose your hair]. Reschedule you're appointment for after Christmas [sucks, I know, having hair you don't want in Xmas pictures, but it's one Xmas of many] and give your hair time to recooperate. I suggest buying Carrot Oil and Cholestoral treatments, all available at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Hair color problem! Help pls!!?!?

Yeah its not a good idea to color it so many times in a few days.. the best thing to do is to tell your hair dresser EXACTLY what you did to your hair after the first appointment. If you don't then all those harsh chemicals are gonna make your hair break! and i know a girl that colored her hair 2wice in a 2 day period and she didnt tell the salon and when the put another layer of color on the girls hair was breaking all the way to the scalp while the color was being washed in the sink!

Hair color problem! Help pls!!?!?

try to use creamsilk hair repair. that happened to me before. i used to have the sftest most silkiest hair, then i put some lotion accidentally and it is soooooooooo dry. but i used this.. it is normal again

Hair color problem! Help pls!!?!?

I had a story very similar to this in summer. I dyed my hair like 4 times in a week, blonde, tried to cover it up brown went black, put more blonde turned redish, so more brown and it turned really black. After the last color I just left it, and most of the color washed out, it we terrible for like two weeks but its the best thing to do it you want it your natural again. If you dye it close to your natural it will fade and you'll have bad roots again, but if you have it dark and it fades it will most likely fade to closer to your color. Against I suggest you bite the bullet this time, it will be better in the long run. To make it fade quicker use clarifying shampoos such as herbal essence. I hope this helps and that you get it worked out soon. I'm a girl too I know how traumatic hair trouble can be. Happy Holidays!

Hair color problem! Help pls!!?!?

Haha. Same thing happened to me! I hated my highlights so I went to get my natural hair color %26amp; they dyed it purple-ish black, I was so pissed. I think its bad if its permanent but if its semi p. it shouldnt be that bad.

Hair color changing?

I tried dyeing my hair back to the natural color it came out to my natural color. I know this because a few years ago i had a big hair cut and i saved the hair. It matched PERFECTLY!!!! but now the roots have come in like 1 1/2 inches Dark brown almost like blackish. My hair used to be medium brown? what happened? should i dye it again?

Hair color changing?

well this is called virgin hair...it hasnt really had time for sun and other damaging effects to lighten it. I would color it again let it grow some and it should match eventually

Hair color changing?

IT WILL CHANGE COLORS WHEN DYEING ALOT

Hair color changing?

how old are you? if you're young, your hair probably got naturally darker.

Hair color changing?

Lots of things can impact your hair pigmentation...including age and exposure to sunlight. If you want to lighten it a bit and bring out the highlights, just pour a cup of strong chamomile tea over your head after you shampoo, and then sit out in the sun for an hour.

Hair color changing?

Maybe your color faded.

Hair color changing?

Hair color also changes with life/age/exposure. Good luck, I can't remember what my natural one is...been coloring it so long! :)

Hair color changing?

The more you dye your hair....the darker it will grow in. I use to have medium brown hair with natural blonde highlights and my dumb *** came up with this brilliant idea to dye it red...don't ask...and anyway....it continued to grow in darker every time. That's just how it goes. Instead of dying your hair all over again....I would just get the root touch up kit...you can find it in any cvs/walmart/sallys/ etc.......good luck to ya and sorry to break the news. Us women do crazy things for beauty!!

Hair color changing?

You should probably wait until after the summer months, because sun drenched hair naturally turns lighter than your normal color. If you wait until the Fall months to dye it again, more than likely your roots will grow back and match.

Hair color changing?

i had the same prob..well i dyed it again and it came out perfect..wel i think thats what u should do..and also use colortrive and color treated hair products like shampoo,conditioner,spray,ect...

Hair color changing?

No matter what color you color your hair it will never grow back to the color you want it to. It will grow to your actual color. Wait two months to get your natural color back and then look for a color that matches your natural color. Go with Clairol's Natural Instinct. It will work. Always use a shade darker that your natural color to get to get the color to match your natural color and if you want a shade lighter then get a lighter color.

Hair color changing?

Go to a salon shop, savon, or walgreens to buy a product called "Nice 'n Easy Root Touch-up" to brush on color to apply to the dark roots only, that matches your expectation by choosing the matched color. Simple as that.

Hair color changing?

NO, only use a touch up, I've dyed my hair so much i only see natural when roots grow in. good luck and i hope you like it. PS you will never have your first natural color again, it will always be something diff.

Hair color changing?

If you are matching hair to what was cut off, then the ends would be lighter than the roots, due to damage and being lightened by the sun. I'm sure the roots are what your actual hair color is. Try matching your eye brows instead of cut off hair. It will be a better match. You should also wait at least 3 weeks before you try to re-dye it, lest you cause severe damage.

Hair color changing?

Hair color does change as you get older, but roots are always darker than the ends. Look at any little kid, they are as natural as can be, but their roots are always a shade to three shades darker than the ends. Plus, with color washing fades and being in the sun will bleach out even color treated hair. I'd consult a professional colorist but it might just take a home glossing treatment to make it all blend again. (it cheaper, faster and makes your hair very shiny)

Hair color changing?

YOUR COLOR HAS CHANGE FOR DYEING IT TO MUCH

YOU PROBABLY NURN YOUR HAIR

Hair color, is this in ?

My hair is very dark in nature and I had highlighted so much that now it is totally blonde. It is very hard on my hair. I was thinking about doing low lights to gradually bleach it less and less. I had noticed people with hair that is two tone, in a drastic way.

Like darker underneath, or lower half of hair and pretty blonde on top. Check out this link, I want to do so something similar to her hair color, think an average person can pull this look off, or is it too much a look for an artist, my hair of course is not as long as hers.

Thanks !!

God lady are you going out of your mind. A tip be who you are to begin with then you wouldn't have these problems. Love 1

Hair color, is this in ?

Yeah, it's in, but very difficult to do if you dont have

1.) very thick hair

2.) extensions put in if your hair is damaged

Good Luck :)

Hair color, is this in ?

Yeah you should do your hair like that its pretty if you look anything like your avatar you will look beautiful.

Hair color, is this in ?

I know alot of people who are not famouse and have that 2 color thing going on. I think it looks nice, but i suggest if you get it done get it done at top noch salon.

Hair color, is this in ?

natural is in...leave your hair alone.

Hair color, is this in ?

It looks great on shakira, but this look isnt for everyone. It is very hard to pull off, Some people remind me of a skunk after they have it done. Just my opinion, if your skin is very pale, i dont reccomend it.

Hair color, is this in ?

I am a hairdresser and color specialist and this look is IN, IN, IN! I disagree that it is difficult to pull off, and agree that it needs to be done at a top notch salon. Two important things: 1) It's not really any lower in maintenance because the blonde is still on top where you need frequent touch ups and 2) It looks best when the undertones of the light color and dark color match. Don't use an ash brown and warm blonde or vice versa. I would recommend going to a stylist that's been doing hair for a while because there's more to a tint back than just throwing some dark over your previously lightened hair.

good luck!

How to get rid of the brass color in my hair?

I have blonde hair with gold tones I want the gold tones to go away .I have colored my hair before the gold toned redish color is still there . I even went and bleached my hair at home then put the hair color over it a day or two later the redish color was still there . and even after all I did my natural hair color comes back. I tried a ash med color a professional did it for me in one week thr redish color come right back and I want the redish tones out of my hair from the only part of my hair that turns out the way it should is the hair that is not near the roots and thats the color I want all over .I spoke with another professional she said a blonde with gold tones in the hair will never git rid of them stop waisting your money instead of trying to make it lighter use a med ash blonde when you do there will still be a slight hint of gold tones in my hair but not as much she said if you have red in your hair forget it it is the most difficult hair color to change any suggestion

How to get rid of the brass color in my hair?

Try using a toner.

How to get rid of the brass color in my hair?

Its going to get even brassier by constantly putting ash over it...Go to a professional and have them put a bleach on your hair to get past that brassy stage..Bleach always goes through stages on the hair as its processes...From red, to orange, to a brass color, to yellow, then pale yellow. If your wanting blonde without that brass tone, then the bleach has to get through that brassy stage of pigment. go to a pale yellow stage..Like the color of the inside of a banana peel..Thats how I can always tell, then tone..but not with ash.

Preventing hair color from fading?

when my hair was shoulder length it was damaged from color and heat but the color always badly faded even though I used shampoo that was color treated and stuff

so now my hair is healthy and is short ear length and I got it colored so its all my natural well darker but the lady said it will fade to my natural so I won't have to color it because it was a pain. but my question is. will my color fade fast still? even though its shorter and a lot more healthier and haven't colored it in over 4 months.?

What can I do to prevent Color from fading. and don't say ask a salonist because she said it shouldn't fade.

Preventing hair color from fading?

-buy a shampoo %26amp; conditoner for your hair color.

-wash hair 2 or 3 times a week.

-deep conditon once a week

-while conditioning leave up to 5 minutes and rinse with super cold water.

Preventing hair color from fading?

Hair Color Question...?

I've been changing my hair color very often -like- every month since I was 17 years old. (I'm 24 now.) I go from platinum blond to dark brown or medium brown to medium red-blond.

I always treat my hair very well and it is in pretty good condition, inspite of my Chameleon aproach to life, so the health of my hair isn't the concern. I want to know what you would think of a person who changes their hair so often. (Just curious.)

Most people, even aquaintences, don't say anything about my hair anymore. Do they think it's weird or do they not notice? Recently, just last week, I died my hair light blond but I've decided to change it to red-brown. What would you think if I did that, it being only a weak between different colors? Would it be weird?

Hair Color Question...?

you should be carefull that takes a toll on your hair and scalp after a while when you do it everyweek thats not good most likely you wont be able to grow yr hair long with out it looking dry you need to condition regulary and maybe keep short sounds like you get tired of the same look and want to try something different -nothing wrong with that as long as it is hair...and not men...lol

Hair Color Question...?

I think at 17 it's cool, and if you are a performer, it may be okay. But as a 24 year old, maybe you could try to change it every month or so. Give people some time to get used to it, as well as yourself. You may grow on a color... or vice versa!

No it's not weird - it probably looks like you are trying to get noticed. Just wait longer in between colors, if you still absolutely need to continuously dye your hair.

Hair Color Question...?

Hair color dilemma! HELP! How can I get my blond hair lighter without totally damaging it?

I'm 34 and have natural blond hair which I've never colored. Lately, it's been getting darker and very brassy from our well water. I really don't have the money to get it professionally done right now. I don't want to try a permenant hair dye. I picked up Clairol "Natural Instincts" which non-permenant. I got 02 which is Sahara or light blond. Do you think it'll make my hair lighter? My hair is also rather thick and wavy and it tends to be dry even thought I rarely even heat style it! If I color it, should I be deep conditioning it more? Do you think getting a water softner would get rid of that brassiness? Are there any other drugstore or Sally Beauty Supply products that would do a better job than Clairol that DON'T HAVE BLEACH OR PEROXIDE? THANKS! I miss my beach blond hair!

Hair color dilemma! HELP! How can I get my blond hair lighter without totally damaging it?

well, the sun is a great source for brightening up your hair!

and because its natural, it wont damage your hair (and you'll get a great tan too!)

to speed up the 'brightening' process of your hair, put lemon juice in your hair before tanning, and after your done, go and wash your hair.

I am not quite sure what the lemon juice does, but i promise you, it makes a HUGE difference in brightening your hair.

Hair color dilemma! HELP! How can I get my blond hair lighter without totally damaging it?

Don't bleach it, wait until it gets a bit warmer and put lemon juice in your hair. if you do this and go out in the sun it will go much lighter. Or just use a sun in spray. it will keep your hair in good condition too.

Hair color dilemma! HELP! How can I get my blond hair lighter without totally damaging it?

sally's would def be a better option...get a blonde that you like from there and i think a higher developer...you can ask the sally's ppl they suually know but youd be better off...and yes after you dye your hair you want to m ake sure you condition it very good all the time to keep it moisturized

Hair color dilemma! HELP! How can I get my blond hair lighter without totally damaging it?

Have you ever heard of or tried Sun-In? You can get it at wal-mart. It will make your hair lighter (after being in the sun) without damaging it. Also to get rid of the brassy-ness try a dye that has an ash tone to it, it will help with the brassy-ness. If your hair is dry, try using a salon brand of conditioner. I LOVE Tigi's Oatmeal and Honey shampoo and conditioner, my hair is dry as well but these products work wonders. Good luck.

Hair color dilemma! HELP! How can I get my blond hair lighter without totally damaging it?

You could try special shampoo and conditioners for Blonde hair. If its very dry try using a couple of ontensive conditioning treatments. Dont dye your hair if its already in bad condition. Other than that I agree with the guys above. Sun-in is good and so is Lemon.

Hair color dilemma! HELP! How can I get my blond hair lighter without totally damaging it?

This answer goes for male or female - but I'll say "she" below since you asked and are a woman....

My opinion, don't color it - - I know I am in the minority in the US, most women and probably most men prefer the artificial look, but I think natural hair color looks soooo much better than colored.

That goes for the way too common artificial blond look and the highlights, as well as the died really dark look. I also feel that way about gray hair - I think well kept hair that is going gray looks much better than died hair.

Bottom line, however, a woman looks best when she feels good about herself. So, if you need a little help to make you feel good about yourself, and it affects your attitude and the way you come across to others, then do some lightening, but keep it discrete. A little coloring and a positive attitude and self-image is much better than no coloring but feeling self-conscious.

Hair color dilemma! HELP! How can I get my blond hair lighter without totally damaging it?

Go to your local salon, or somewhere that sells KMS products(I go to trade secret for professional stuff and usually a good deal, you can get that Tigi Oatmeal and Honey shampoo there for like 20$ for the shampoo and conditioner both). Get a purple shampoo, it takes the brassiness out of blonde hair--double check to make sure it is not only for bleached blonde hair, but I used it in the past and it will make your hair platinum! ;) Don't use that John Freida blonde shampoo, it sucks. Use a nice purple shampoo! Good Luck!!

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

My hair color is black.7 months ago i tried to color my hair dark brown but i got nothing changed. That time I used Natural match.I called loreal office%26amp;thay suggested me to use more lighter color %26amp;wait untill my colored hair is cutt off.2 days before I cutt my hair(layer),I bought Loreal excellens golden brown(F3)to color my hair But no result again. What should I do. I have to do Bleach? Is it safe to do bleach at salon?

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

you should go and have someone so it, only because black is the only color hair that you have to strip the color out of it in order to get it lighter, you don't have to bleach it unless you want a blonde color. Have a hair stylist put a stripper in your hair, it will get rid of some of the color and it wont be as harsh as bleaching, then she can dye it another color.

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

do it red

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

i've colored my hair at home so many times and have gotten great results. no you do not have to do bleach just because it can be harmful to your hair and damage it too much. but if u do go to a salon that would be ur best answer...tell the stylist what color you are looking to get and she should know how to get it that color. or you can go to ur stylist and she can recoment an 'at home' color treatment...good luck!

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

black is the hardest color to come down you almost have to bleach it or deposit professional color on top of color. i would not bleach black hair unless you are preparred to have to cut it off when you get trims because it is so drying.

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

Bleach is never "safe" for your hair, but if it's done right, your results will leave you with minimal damage. It is the best way to get a high "lift" in the color. You could always try lighter brown shades too, but the thing with that is that it could tint reddish, and I don't know if you would be happy with that. Good luck!!!

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

leave it the natural color - otherwise you will wreck your head and it will look terrible.....

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

My hair is naturally black and I have been advised by many professionals to never dye my hair myself ever! Most boxed colors aren't going to be able to do anything to your hair because your hair is to dark. Ontop of that you really need some form of bleach to bring down the color, and you never want to do that at home. I went to a "professional" who put bleach in my hair causeing the top layer of my hair to literally break off!! It has taken over a year and going to a super high end salon to get it fixed. Leave the hair dying to the professionals that know what they are doing, or don't even mess with it.

How can I color my hair at home? Which hair color is good?

Look I have black hair too. I suggest you only do highlights. In my opinion highlights look better than coloring you whole head. If you do highlights ou should try light brown it will look so cute.

Hair color help, please!?

went from blond to dark, dark brown with caramel highlights but the highlights ended up looking almost yellow, yuck! That was last Wednesday. Today I went back to the stylist, asked her to cover my highlights with dark brown, then, put black in certain parts; the tips of my bangs, some of the hair on the side and the hair right above my nape. I've seen brown/black combos that I thought were cool. Unfortunately, although I explained it 3 or 4 times, I now have hair that's BLACK ALL OVER.

My question is this: am I stuck with plain black hair (I really wanted the two-colored hair!) or is there something that can be done to make a different color in certain spots? Not highlights, just the areas I already mentioned like my bangs, the sides, etc.

Thanks for your help! BTW, how many times should I go back to this stylist? Until I'm satisfied? I've already been there twice, I'm almost embarrassed to go back a third time, but I am very unhappy with my hair.

Hair color help, please!?

Ouch, sounds like you have had a hard time.. Do not go back to this stylist, she will not be able to help you. Honestly Color dosn't always turn out the way we want it, but if she couldn't give you something you wanted twice, I don't think a third time will be a charm.

The bad part, you've just had a lot of chemical servicing to your hair. The good, you've done the least harsh of the transistions. Light to Dark.

I'll assume you've let your hair rest for sometime, maybe a week or so.

What your asking is actually pretty simple, depending on the current shade of your hair, a stylist could use something like Pigmented Lighteners. These are dyed Blues, Violets, Golds, and Naturals. What these colors do is help balance current pigment in the hair when lightened.

Most likely your going to end up with something in the reddish, muddy stage. So vibrant color isn't going to come directly from this one process.

Others may recommend a dye remover, but here is why I wouldn't.

I wouldn't want to remove any of the exisiting Mud, that we're going to end up with. I love Demi Perms. I think they are great, they last a long time, almost perm depending on line (I prefer EQ Shades by Redken). These are opaque or see through, so they use exisiting contrast, and color in the hair to reflect the Shade, offering lots of depth. But what it would do for us, is make these areas of your hair blend. It kinda sounds like you want something that meshes well, and nothing that looks like it is out of place, or yellowish

Hope this helps!

Hair color help, please!?

Did she put the color in your hair all over?? I say change stylist. She and you may not be on the same page. Call her and tell you are not happy. Did you pay for both services? She may give you some money back.

Hair color help, please!?

Umm... I'd try a different stylist since yours obviously doesn't know what they're doing. And next time, don't leave the hair stylist unsatisfied.

Hair color help, please!?

Ask around to find someone better, there are alot of great hair stylists and professionals out there who can do amazing jobs to your hair without having to explain to them so many times.

Hair color help, please!?

ok you really need help i think brunnete with carmel highlights it looks goergous on anybody, well eccept 4 guys of course! good luck

Hair color help, please!?

Well that is a problem the only thing I can say is bleach blonde because nothing really goes over black but I wouldn't suggest it because it will dry out your hair terrible!

It might even trun it grey

Next I would go see a better more experinced stylist for my hair because this one seems to not have the experience needed for what you want

But for the real question "am I stuck with plain black hair (I really wanted the two-colored hair!) or is there something that can be done to make a different color in certain spots?" All I can suggest is to grow it out or bleach blond because brown or red will not go back over it

Sorry

Hair color help, please!?

Well, I am sorry that you had such a bad experience. Unfortunately, color does not remove color and your hair is now black. The only way to get some lighter tones in there is to highlight with bleach and then put color back on those highlights. It really depends on how important it is to you at this point. You have already had a few chemical services done and this will dry it out more.

As far as your stylist goes, I would let them know that you are still not happy and maybe they would give you a deep conditioning treatment at no charge for a while. Also, if we don't know that we have unhappy customers we can't try to fix it. So definitely let them know. Good Luck.

Hair color help, please!?

You should go back to that same salon and talk to the owner or manager and explain the situation and tell them that you want your money back and then go to another salon. If you want a lighter color in certain places in your hair take a picture or maybe do a sketch of where you want the lighter color to be. They will have to use color remover on the sections where you want the other color. I know how you feel, I've had my color messed up BIG TIME and many hair cuts that were so bad and not at all what I asked for. Many in a row that sucked. Good luck

Using color treated hair care products even if hair isnt colored?

I had a sample of the color protect by redken shampoo and conditioner and my hair came out great.but I dont have color treated hair.I do chemically treat it to straighten it.and I also use a semi permanant hair color maybe once every three months but it washes out after like 8 washes. Is this just a gentle shampoo/conditioner when its for color treated?

Using color treated hair care products even if hair isnt colored?

Yep...most of the color treated hair products are extra gentle so they don't strip the hair color. Given the fact that you have chemically straitened hair, it would be perfect for you. If you like it and it works well I would just continue using it.

Hair color..PLEASE HELP!? HAIR DISASTER?

ok..so got the hairdresser to dye my hair for me a blonde color and I got ripped off because it turned orange. So I died it a dark ash blonde. And after about a month, the dye I did at home is coming out and you can really see the orangy tone my hair used to be. So would natural match 7c ash blonde work on my hair to take away the brassiness. I'm not sure and i'm kind of scared to use it on my hair. I don't want my hair to still look brassy because then i'll have died and damaged my hair even more. So do you think this will work on my hair? it says on the website that (loreal website) that 7c cool will minimise brassy tones. What do you think?

http://images.meredith.com/more/images/0...

My hair is somewhat close to this and I HATE it.

http://images.imagesource.com/preview/wm...

Hair color..PLEASE HELP!? HAIR DISASTER?

You don't need 7C (c stands for cool). go with a neutral. 7N. that will minimize enough of the brassiness.

to be extra sure, use 6N!

(former L'oreal advisor).

Hair color..PLEASE HELP!? HAIR DISASTER?

Maybe you should go to another hairdresser to fix it so it doesn't get messed up worse.

Hair color..PLEASE HELP!? HAIR DISASTER?

You do know you don't have to pay for a hairdresser messing your hair up, don't you? Or at least they should have fixed it for you.

Hair color..PLEASE HELP!? HAIR DISASTER?

Stick with the ash. Cool tones might be a little too severe for the results you want. Plus, using a cool color will increase the possibility of green hair.

Do what worked the first time. The (sigh) hairdresser you went to was probably using a color that bonded better with your hair, and the brassiness won't let go as fast as a store bought brand. The bad news is, it might hang on forever.

A good little trick is to apply the developer (the white creamy stuff) without color a few minutes before you apply the actual hair dye mix (hair dye with developer mixed in). I really hope it helps.

Hair color..PLEASE HELP!? HAIR DISASTER?

Don't do your own hair again. Go to a professional. Do you know anyone else who gets there hair done? Find out were they go and make an appointment with them. Did you pay the first time? You could ask her to fix it our ask for your money back to have it fixed!! By law they have to. Good luck!!

Hair color..PLEASE HELP!? HAIR DISASTER?

The truth is that brassiness is difficult to remove from hair. Processes to remove it will fade after a while depending on the amount of natural red or gold tones in your hair and how dark it was originally. You can try to put in a cool toner or drabber (go to a beauty supply store) that will tone it down, something with a blue undertone, or you can dye it black or a dark neutral brown, which will be a permanent commitment. I would go back to hte hairdresser and demand that they fix it.

Hair color..PLEASE HELP!? HAIR DISASTER?

It could be a time to leave the hair alone, and let it grow out. Damaging it any further does not do the hair any good. If your face can take it , a good and very short haircut would do wonders and then let it grow out, and learn be happy with your own hair color.
