It depends on how much you want to change it. It's a lot easier to go darker at home than lighter. If you want foils or highlights then you really need a professional or it will look tacky. Reds and dark colours can really make a mess in your bathroom if your not careful. I used to dye mine red and I spilt the colour on the floor and couldn't get it all off. It looked like someone had been murdered in our bathroom! If you give more details about your current colour and what you want to change, I'll try to help.

it depends, if u have really dark hair and you put blonde on it, it wont work

well.. umm you kinda need to tell us the colour your going if you want help .

i think it should be fine to colour your hair, depending on the colour. if your a red head i always find the best is salon done, but for brunettes and blondes it should be fine.
