13...and then one time i tried to peroxide it-it turned clown-red instead of blonde. and then another time i tried bleach, my hair turned green and fell out. no b.s. if you do it PROFESSIONALLY, even though it costs more, it will be worth it. if they f it up they are responsible to fix it, but believe me, they won't...and you might.

Same, 12. I don't regret it though... I only color once in awhile, and always let it grow out between. I tend to go drastic with it, I love pink or blue highlights. When my roots show more than a half inch, I do a natural color match over the top and then I don't touch it for months. That way my hair stays really healthy.

Well my mom is a hairdresser so she started coloring it all kinds of crazy colors for me when I was about 12. It was really fun for the both of us, especially when all the other girl's moms wouldn't let them color their hair. I am 25 now and have my natural dark brown almost black hair again but I don't regret all of the colors that I tried over the years.

I'm not entirely sure how old I was, but it was around the 5th or 6th grade. I just started with some simple highlighting, and now I'm addicted to changing my hair. Its such a great way (although sometimes pricey) to change your overall appearance and style. I love it!

My mom started putting sun-in in my hair when I was 6. And the dye came along when I was 10. My mom wanted my hair to stay blonde which is why she did this... But now I have gotten sick of sying it and just keep it jet black to despise her.

at 13!!! when i just started secondary school. dyed my hair with.... HYDROGEN PEROXIDE 6% and my hair turned COPPER!!! it was super gross and i couldnt hide it from my parents who immediately wanted to transfer me out of the new school. they didn't buy the "i went swimming and the chlorine in the pool bleached my hair" excuse. Hahaha.. But of course they didn't transfer me out, thankfully. Now at age 28, i just stick to highlights.

I got highlights when I was about 11 or 12, and then moved on to red streaks, and then I finally got into all the crazy colours :D

I always keep a black base though and just add SOME colour to it, since my hair is naturally a very dark brown/black, when it starts growing it doesn't show as much :) .

It's funny because my hair is naturally dark dark brown, and I dyed it black lol. =P So there wasn't really a difference.
