don't know what color to color it. She will not sit still for 40 minutes and she will freak out. I have no idea what to do. She usually forgets but she has been asking her caregivers a lot.

I wouldnt do it. It could cause problems while dying it if she freaks out, because you ar elooking at about an hour all in all including putting it on. Also, my best friend nan developed alzheimers and in the early stages she dyed her hair and then was convinced she had been drugged and had her hair dyed until she remembered. it was quite strange but familiarity is sometimes calming to alzheimers patients

Well i don't know what colour to suggest because i don't know your mother in law's preference.

But, when you've chosen the colour, look at different brands of hair dye, some only have to be on for about 30 mins.

Also, some semi-permanent dyes require only 15 min waiting times, although some may take 20 or 25 minutes, again it depends on the brand.

I recommend using semi-permanent dye, as you said your mother in law won't sit still for long, and also, if she changes her mind, then you know that after a few washes the colour will be gone.
