How do you get white hairs to stay dark when coloring your hair?

Put the color on from the roots and out about 1 to 2 inches and leave that on the longest (depending on the instructions for your brand of hair color, mine is 25 minutes) then put the remainder of the color on the rest of your hair for only about 10 minutes. You will have to color your hair more frequently when those nasty grays start popping up.

Use a colour care shampoo and conditioner. They really works!

Start the application on the lighest sections of your hair. That way the color will be on that hair the longest time. If the directions say to leave it on 45 minutes, start timing when you are finished applying the color, not from the time you began.
