Dying my hair with food coloring?

My hair is black and I want to temporarily dye it a dark red. Not like bright screaming red, like if the sun were to hit it, it would be bloody red...or something to similar to that.

1)should I bleach my hair first

2)if yes to number 1, with clothes bleach or at a salon?

3)do I mix it with the shampoo, or boil it, etc.

after that please tell me how to actually dye it step by step. Or give me a website if you want

firstly food colouring wont work, it is not designed to take to the hair cuticles. if you are wanting a tempory colour use a semi permanent hair dye, there are lots on offer.

Do not bleach your hair! This permanently damaging it and you will have to intensively condition it to get it back to the condition you have now. Hair dye boxes indicate what the dye will do to your hair depending on its current shade using pictures. Normally you just have to wash your hair, then after towel drying rub in a cream which usually takes aroung half an hour ish to set, then wash out.

You may be able to find one suitable, if not get it professionally done, hair is really important to your entire look, you dont wanna mess it up!
