How to change my hair color?

I dyed my hair a bright red.....in the winter....and for the summer went to the hairdresser for highlights, I went to speak to the hairdressers before having my hair done getting advice what to do? Well this woman burnt my hair, there was smoke coming out from the hair, and junks were falling out. I cried so much. She even tried to charge me and I refused too pay. My hair is long and it has taken me 2 years for it to get to the length I want...

Not only did she burn it was also different tones. I was sad. I didnt want to put anymore chemicals in my hair so i decided to use Henna. Which could cover up the bad job she had done. But the henna has made my hair look dry and I hate this color...its almost orange!

What should I do to get rid of this color and not to over process my hair?

Good news is that I can pretty much look good in any hair color...except this carrot top!

My best advise is to use Revlon ColorSilk provides coverage and is ammonia-free for maximum gentleness. It is very expensive, do not let that turn you away. More expensive it not always better. You can get at any drugstore, CVS, Walgreen's- etc. I use this and it does not burn my hair at all. I have used Henna in the past and it does make your hair very dry. If you have too much red you need to choose a color that has Ash in it and go a shade darker to tone down the red. For example an Ash Medium Brown or Ash Dark Blonde. I would go with the Ash Medium Brown.

It will be fine- I went through the red phase many moons ago. Wishing you the best color result.
