Hair color : Bleached blonde going back to natural black HELP please?

I have natural very dark brown hair (nearly black) and it is very haevily bleached (3 times in some places) to a light blonde color with white highlights. Unfortunately, its just getting far to expensive to maintain and I wna to dye it back to its natural color so root maintenance is minimal. I have short hair that I am trying to grow out so trimming it isnt really an option. What I would like to know is if a permanent dark brown dye will take to my hair, and also what the chances are of destroying the hair that has already been bleached?

The damage has been done, but it is going to damage it more if you keep bleaching it, I would recommend giving your hair a few deep conditioners and oil treatments and then redye it once and for all I would say treat it for about a week first so that it'll regain some strength.

have it low-lited and this will leave only a few hi-lites, saving you any problems at home with the possibility of having your hair absorb too much in one spot and not in another. You can ask for a lot of low lites to achieve the look you are seeking.

hiya, i have dyed my hair so many times, im always going to blond back to brown again and im lucky my hair hasnt fallen out lol!! the best thing to do is look for a dye that has a slight reddish tone to it as you will need that to even out the colour, dont worry it wont go red it will just bring out the warm tones in your hair that you need otherwise your hair could end up looking a slight greenish colour. try looking for a dark chesnut brown for now and then leave it a few months and dye it nearly black, you will need a permanent colour, nice and easy is very good. hope this helps but dont worry your hair will be fine x

DO NOT DO THIS YOURSELF. if you are going back to your natural and you just put brown on it, you could turn green. This is something you should go to a salon for. You have to "fill" it first. it is about 2 hour process, this will keep your hair healthier for you

What you would be doing is actually adding color which will help. I would actually suggest on this one getting your hair done professionally. Sometimes that bleach only takes the base color and this will leave your hair green , blue, or purple. So, if you have a hairdresser ask them for the best option.

i would definatl wait if your hair is REALLY damaged.

start using a deep conditioning treatment every 2 months one that is heavy and thick and a good brand (its better to not go cheap on haor products especially for damaged hair). do this every 2 months it maintains your hair so smooth and soft. as long as you keep this up and reduce hair product.

try to nbot do any thing to your hair and use a leave in conditioner daily and as soon as you get your hair in better condition you can get it dyed.

POINTER: i would get it professional dyed your naturla hair color like you said and try to apply as less product as you can so you can get it back to healthy
