So in the past my hair color really fades but my hair wasn't as healthy. so now my hair is short and I got it professionally colored and my hair is a lot healthier now then it was. I wonder if its going to fade as fast like before.. or what I can do to make it not fade. Thanks!

Bathe in cold water [as cold as you can take it]
What I do is just put my head/hair under the shower when it's cold, then use my foot to make it warm again and bathe the rest of myself in warm water, without letting it really get on my hair.
You can also ask you stylist what sort of shampoos and conditioners you should use to make it fade slower.

usually if you dye your hair red it fades. but proffesionally lasts a little longer.
you should also use a color treated shampoo/condiotner like paul mitchell
